About Me

After waiting almost a decade for my miracle girls, I retired as a full professor and now find joy in being a stay-at-home mom with my all-bows-and-dresses toddler and sweet-and-spicy twins.  But I'm still passionate about my writing—something I feel is a calling from God on my life.

My husband and I are college sweethearts and have been married since 2008. In addition to our three girls, we have an 80-pound Weimarenar who keeps us entertained. When possible, I devour books in a variety of genres, am an avid football fan, and enjoy hiking and camping with my family. Howell and I love our church family. Together, we have hosted numerous life groups and have served on various teams including hospitality and prayer.

Those are some quick facts. But I told you I had a story to share, right?

Truth is, I’ve got lots of them.

Stories from God's Word. God's story of my life. And the creative stories in my head.

I spent a decade writing fiction before God nudged my heart to write nonfiction. My debut nonfiction bookNot Forgotten: Unraveling Questions of Faith and Fertility, will be released fall 2023.

Because I spent almost a decade journeying through infertility, I love praying for and encouraging women with this specific struggle. If that's you, I hope you'll also check out my FREE e-book devotional, Remembered

My fiction has won first place in the RWA "Ignite the Flame" contest and the ACFW Genesis contest and has finaled in First Impressions and semi-finaled in Genesis. But, at the moment, those manuscripts are on the back burner while I stay obedient to God's direction for Not Forgotten.

aspire to write about life events that are real and relatable. Life is not always pretty, but God is always good. I have experienced the pain of loss and the heartache of unexpected outcomes. I know what anger and bitterness and unforgiveness look like. But I have found freedom in Christ, and I hope, in any of my manuscripts, my readers can encounter the grace and the power of Jesus through the Holy Spirit.
